Austria Market Launch
The Challenge
In 2024, the popular second-hand marketplace Vinted launched in Austria. 1000heads was commissioned to support the market entry with a creative, locally relevant influencer strategy, with the aim of bringing Vinted into the everyday lives and hearts of Austrians in the shortest possible time.
Insight
In Austria, fashion is more than just clothing; it is an expression of personality, attitude and values. Today, many people not only want to look good, but also want to do good. They want to conserve resources, make sustainable consumption decisions and show off their individual style. And in doing so, they want to connect with their idols and favourite influencers.
Vinted is already the platform of choice for millions of fashion lovers worldwide, combining all of these aspects and establishing itself as a true love brand. However, in Austria, this relationship had to grow first. The challenge: to create a vibrant marketplace from scratch.
Imagination
Spring 2024: A new beginning is in the air. Outside in nature, but also in our wardrobes. Data analysis via social listening confirms what we already suspected: seasonal spring cleaning is not only a tradition in the wardrobe, but also an emotional reset. Perfect for starting a movement that combines fashion, sustainability and self-realisation.
This insight gave rise to our creative platform: SPRING INTO STYLE. A call to all of Austria to make room for new things, pass on favourite items and bring joy to others. Not just a campaign, but the start of a community that lives fashion circularly.
Implementation
We carefully curated a group of authentic, locally rooted creators from different categories who embody Vinted's values and whose communities trust them. They inspired their followers to open their wardrobes, rediscover treasures and sell unworn items on Vinted..
Impact
In the first year, we activated over 100 local influencers to reach out to their Austrian fans and encourage them to sign up and sell on Vinted.
Most of our creators' closets on Vinted sold out within the first few days.
This generated numerous new app users and anchored Vinted in the minds and hearts of Austrian fashionistas.
