Things We Like #5

By James Whatley

So much stuff has happened this week we honestly don’t know where to start! Chronologically maybe? Yes, let’s give that a go..

Wednesday 30th November was the very last day of the month also known as Movember and it has to be said, the chaps in the office did us proud.

Fully grown Mos spread across eighteen of us in the end and (although we didn’t manage to get everyone of them in the photo), we can safely agree that they looked fairly better for it.

Also, not to be outdone, the ladies – aka Mo Sistas – got involved by organising a Movember-themed bake off, with moustache-shaped biscuits and brownies available for all (at a price!).

All told, the team raised just over £1600 and well, we’re pleased as punch about that – :)

Speaking of being pleased as punch, last night at the Social Buzz Awards 1000heads managed to pick up two commendations and awards in the following categories

Commendations

  • Best Stunt – Commendation for Nokia / Tron: Legacy
  • Best Social Media Team – Commendation for our Nokia Account Team Best

Trophies

Social Buzz Awards 2011

Great stuff!

And finally, we’d really like to end this post by congratulating the team from Jack’s South West Grill who picked up the well-deserved (and much sought after) Chairman’s Award for their customer-driven music videos.

Paul Fabretti, Chairman of the Social Buzz Awards judging panel said:

“What made this entry stand out above so many others was how quickly they understood their audience and then how effectively they embraced their enthusiasm – all for such little investment.
They understood and celebrated with their fans, interacting with them closely through both social channels and in-store and provided the material for their fans to do what they do best – shout about the company”

If you watch the [entirely fan-made!] video below, we think you’ll see why.

HUGE well done to all involved! What a great week…
